"generalInfo": "The Honda Accord is the midsize sedan that has anchored Honda's U.S. lineup since 1976. It has been assembled in Marysville, Ohio since 1982 — the first Japanese-brand car ever built in America — and by 2020 had sold more than 18 million units worldwide. In 1989 it became the first vehicle from an import brand to finish a year as the best-selling car in the United States.\n\nModern Accords are front-wheel-drive five-seaters built on a long 111.4-inch wheelbase, which buys class-leading rear legroom and a 16.7-cubic-foot trunk. The eleventh-generation car narrows the range to two powertrains: a 1.5-liter turbocharged four with a CVT on the value trims, and a 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle engine with Honda's two-motor hybrid system on everything above them. More than half of U.S. Accord sales have been hybrids since 2024, and Honda Sensing driver aids are standard on every trim.\n\nThe Accord's reputation rests on packaging, refinement and resale value rather than flash. It has collected five-star overall NHTSA ratings and IIHS Top Safety Pick+ awards year after year, and it consistently finishes at or near the top of comparison tests against the Toyota Camry, Hyundai Sonata and Kia K5.",
