"generalInfo": "The Hyundai Nexo is a hydrogen fuel-cell compact crossover — the flagship of Hyundai's \"eco car\" portfolio and the replacement for the Tucson Fuel Cell that Hyundai leased in small numbers through 2017. It was revealed at the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show, named after the Danish island town of Nexø, and reached American customers for the 2019 model year. Unlike the Toyota Mirai and Honda Clarity Fuel Cell sedans it competed with, the Nexo is shaped like an SUV, and in the United States it has only ever been sold at a handful of dealerships in California, where the hydrogen refueling network exists.\n\nThe first-generation car (Hyundai code FE) ran from the 2019 through the 2025 model years and never changed mechanically: a fuel-cell stack fed a single 120 kW front motor rated at 161 hp and 291 lb-ft, buffered by a 1.56 kWh lithium-polymer battery and geared through a fixed single-speed reduction drive. Two trims were offered every year — the efficiency-focused Blue on 17-inch wheels, EPA-rated at 380 miles, and the luxury-leaning Limited on 19s, good for 354. The second-generation NH2 car, previewed by the Initium concept in October 2024 and revealed in production form in April 2025, is longer, wider and taller, wears Hyundai's \"Art of Steel\" design language with HTWO four-dot lighting, and steps up to a 150 kW motor and a 2.64 kWh battery in U.S. trim.\n\nStandout traits are class-leading range for a zero-emission vehicle, refueling measured in minutes rather than hours, and a genuinely upscale cabin — dual 12.3-inch curved displays, digital side mirrors and a Bang & Olufsen system on the second-generation car. The catches are equally large: California-only availability, a national hydrogen network of barely 50 public stations, and severe depreciation. U.S. EPA ratings run 57–61 MPGe combined for the first generation and 60–68 MPGe for the second, and first-generation base prices spanned roughly $58,300 to $63,900 before destination.",

Hydrogen from three tanks feeds a fuel-cell stack that powers a 120 kW front motor good for 161 hp and 291 lb-ft, buffered by a 1.56 kWh lithium-polymer battery. Riding on 17-inch alloys, it is the longest-range Nexo at an EPA-rated 380 miles, and Hyundai sweetened the deal with fuel cards worth a combined $13,000 over the first three years of ownership.",
