"generalInfo": "The Tesla Model 3 is a battery-electric mid-size sedan with a fastback silhouette, built by Tesla at the Fremont Factory in California and, from December 2019, also at Gigafactory Shanghai for non-U.S. markets. It was conceived as Tesla's high-volume, lower-cost model beneath the Model S and Model X, and it shares its platform with the Model Y crossover. Every version uses a single-speed fixed-ratio drive unit: an internal-permanent-magnet synchronous reluctance motor at the rear, with an induction motor added at the front on dual-motor all-wheel-drive cars.\n\nThe car reached customers in July 2017 as a single, highly optioned Long Range rear-drive configuration, and the range broadened quickly from there — Long Range Dual Motor and Performance arrived in mid-2018, a 62 kWh Mid Range in late 2018, and the $35,000 Standard Range plus a Standard Range Plus in early 2019. A November 2020 update for the 2021 model year brought a heat pump, black exterior trim, a power trunk and double-pane glass along with longer EPA range. Across these early years U.S. EPA ratings run from 220 to 353 miles and 113 to 142 MPGe, with published output between roughly 271 hp for rear-drive cars and 455 hp for the dual-motor Performance.\n\nStandout traits are a minimalist cabin built around a single 15.4-inch center touchscreen with no instrument cluster, a fixed all-glass roof, front and rear trunks totalling about 15 cubic feet on pre-2021 cars, access to Tesla's Supercharger network, and over-the-air software updates that changed acceleration, charging speed and driver-assistance behaviour during the car's life. Early U.S. transaction prices spanned roughly $35,000 for the short-lived Standard Range up to about $64,000 for the 2018 Performance.",

Tesla left the battery and motors alone, so the 394 hp / 377 lb-ft output and 4.2-second claim carried over, but the Highland's cleaner aerodynamics could not offset heavier wheels and EPA range fell from 358 to 342 miles.
