"generalInfo": "The Tesla Model S is a full-size, five-seat battery-electric liftback and the car that established Tesla as a mainstream automaker. It is built in Fremont, California on an aluminium body-and-chassis architecture that shares its platform and about thirty percent of its parts with the Model X. The lithium-ion pack sits flat in the floor, which gives the car a roughly 18-inch centre-of-gravity height, a 46/54 front-to-rear weight split, a large rear cargo hold under a hatch-style liftgate and a second \"frunk\" storage well where an engine would normally sit.\n\nAcross its life the Model S has moved through three broad phases. The 2012-2016 cars wore a black nose cone and were sold as numbered battery variants — 60, 85 and the performance P85 — joined from late 2014 by dual-motor \"D\" models such as the 85D and P85D. An April 2016 facelift replaced the grille with a body-coloured fascia and adaptive full-LED headlights, and the numbered lineup grew to include 60/60D, 70/70D, 75/75D, 90D, 100D and the 680-hp P100D. In mid-2019 Tesla retired the battery-size badges in favour of Standard Range, Long Range and Performance names on a common 100 kWh pack, and in 2021 the \"Palladium\" update introduced the tri-motor Plaid. Tesla built the Model S at Fremont from June 2012 until May 2026, when the last cars left the line.\n\nThe Model S is defined by straight-line speed, EPA range and hatchback practicality rather than by luxury-brand cabin materials. Across the 2021-2026 U.S. cars, EPA ratings span roughly 93 to 124 MPGe and about 309 to 410 miles of range; output runs from about 670 hp in the dual-motor Long Range to 1,020 hp in the tri-motor Plaid; and listed prices over that span ran from roughly $75,000 to about $159,000. Every version uses a single-speed direct-drive reduction gear, the Tesla Supercharger network, and the Autopilot driver-assistance suite, whose hardware progressed from HW1 (September 2014) to HW2 (October 2016), HW2.5 (August 2017) and HW3 (March 2019); from 2021 Tesla dropped radar in favour of the camera-only \"Tesla Vision\" stack, and dropped the ultrasonic sensors in 2023.",

"description": "The 2026 Plaid gets a reworked rear diffuser and a slightly altered front fascia that Tesla says optimise high-speed stability, and the aerodynamic work shows in the EPA numbers: 368 miles at 110 MPGe on the standard wheels, up from 359 miles and 107 MPGe in 2025. The tri-motor powertrain is unchanged at 1,020 hp with a 1.99-second 0-60 mph claim and a 200-mph top speed. EPA lists a $109,990 MSRP; MotorTrend's later $126,630 reflects the same $15,000 Luxe-package increase applied across the range plus the $1,640 destination fee. Note that MotorTrend quotes 328 miles on 21-inch wheels where EPA certified 309.",
