The Acura TLX is Acura’s entry-level luxury/sport sedan (introduced for 2015) that moved to a thoroughly new second-generation architecture for the 2021 model year. The second-generation TLX sharpened the car’s chassis and repositioned the model line around a 2.0‑liter turbocharged four for the mainstream TLX and a high-performance 3.0‑liter turbo V‑6 for the Type S. Across the second generation the TLX has been notable for chassis balance, Acura’s SH‑AWD system on AWD models, a 12.3‑inch display with touchpad interface, and a compact-but-upscale interior; power across the 2021–2025 run ranged from about 272–355 hp and EPA economy in U.S. testing generally sat in the high‑teens to low‑30s mpg depending on drivetrain and tune.
Following a 2024 refresh the TLX carried unchanged into 2025, offered in standard (2.0T) and Type S (3.0T) forms and in sport/appearance and luxury equipment levels (A‑Spec / Advance). Acura ended TLX production with the 2025 model year, making 2025 the final U.S. model year for the TLX.
