The BMW 4 Series is the two-door counterpart to the 3 Series, split off into its own model line for 2014. The second generation — G22 coupe, G23 convertible and G26 Gran Coupe — reached the U.S. for the 2021 model year and is best known for its tall vertical kidney grille, a deliberate callback to the 328 and CS coupes of the 1930s and 1960s. BMW 4 Series: General Information
The BMW 4 Series is the two-door counterpart to the 3 Series, split off into its own model line for 2014. For 2025 a facelift brought mild-hybrid assistance to the 430i, raised the M440i to 386 hp and 398 lb-ft, and adopted the curved iDrive display.
Across the range the coupe carries 12.0 cu ft of luggage and seats four, the convertible 10.6 cu ft, and the Gran Coupe 16.6 cu ft with seating for five and a hatchback tailgate. Prices run from the mid-$40,000s for a 430i to the low $70,000s for an M440i xDrive convertible, with EPA ratings between 22 and 28 mpg combined.
