Every American Venue uses the same powertrain: a 1.6-liter Smartstream four making 121 hp and 113 lb-ft, driving the front wheels. A six-speed manual was offered on the base SE for 2020 only and was dropped for 2021 because of low take rate, leaving Hyundai's Intelligent Variable Transmission — a belt-driven CVT — as the only gearbox. The lineup has stayed simple: SE and SEL throughout, plus a style-led range-topper that launched as the Denim for 2020–2021, was renamed Limited for 2022 and was dropped after 2025. A facelift with a new grille, restyled bumpers and standard 8.0-inch touchscreen arrived for 2023. A second-generation Venue (QU2) went on sale in India in late 2025, but the U.S. car continues with the original QX body.
Standout traits are price and packaging rather than performance. The Venue is only 159.1 inches long on a 99.2-inch wheelbase, yet it offers 18.7 cubic feet behind the rear seats and 31.9 with them folded, and its tall roof buys unusually good headroom for the class. EPA ratings run 30–32 mpg combined depending on model year, NHTSA gives it four stars overall with five for side impact, and the IIHS named it a Top Safety Pick for 2021. What it does not offer is all-wheel drive, a tow rating or much thrust — 0-60 mph takes about 8.6 seconds. U.S. base prices have run from $17,350 at launch to roughly $23,450 at the top of the range, all before destination.

2020 Hyundai Venue SE
The SE is the entry Venue and the launch model for the nameplate's first U.S. model year, opening at $17,350 with a six-speed manual — the only year the stick was offered here. Power comes from the 1.6-liter Smartstream four with 121 hp and 113 lb-ft driving the front wheels, and Hyundai's Intelligent Variable Transmission is a $1,200 option. Even at the bottom of the range it includes an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, forward collision-avoidance assist and lane keeping assist.
2020 Hyundai Venue SEL
The SEL is the volume Venue, listing at $19,250 with the Intelligent Variable Transmission as the only gearbox. Over the SE it adds alloy wheels, blind-spot collision warning with rear cross-traffic alert, LED headlights, keyless entry with push-button start, a six-speaker audio system and satellite radio. Mechanically it is identical to the SE IVT, with the same 121-hp 1.6-liter four and 30/34 mpg rating.
2020 Hyundai Venue Denim
Denim is the range-topping lifestyle edition, new for 2020 at $22,050 and sold only in Denim Blue paint with a contrasting white roof and mirror caps. Inside it gets a denim-and-light-grey leatherette interior with contrast stitching, heated front seats and a sunroof, and outside it rides on 17-inch alloy wheels — the only Venue so equipped this year. The powertrain is unchanged: the 121-hp 1.6-liter four with the IVT, rated 30/34 mpg.

2021 Hyundai Venue SE
For 2021 the SE loses its six-speed manual — Hyundai dropped the stick after a single model year because almost nobody bought one — so the Intelligent Variable Transmission is now standard and the entry price rises to $18,750. The 1.6-liter Smartstream four is unchanged at 121 hp and 113 lb-ft, but the CVT-only lineup is re-certified at 30/33 mpg. Standard equipment still includes an 8.0-inch touchscreen with wireless-free Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, forward collision-avoidance assist and lane keeping assist.
2021 Hyundai Venue SEL
The SEL is the mid-grade Venue and rises $550 for 2021 to $19,800. It carries alloy wheels, LED headlights with automatic high beams, blind-spot collision warning with rear cross-traffic alert, proximity key with push-button start and a six-speaker audio system over the SE. Powertrain and economy are identical to the rest of the 2021 range: 121 hp, IVT, 30/33 mpg.
2021 Hyundai Venue Denim
2021 is the second and final year for the Denim, which holds its 2020 price of $22,050 and is again sold only in Denim Blue with a white roof and mirror caps. It keeps the denim-and-light-grey leatherette interior, heated front seats, sunroof and 17-inch alloy wheels that separate it from the rest of the range. For 2022 Hyundai replaced it with a broadly similar range-topper called Limited.

2022 Hyundai Venue SE
The 2022 SE creeps up $250 to $19,000 and gains standard rear occupant alert and a post-collision braking system as part of Hyundai's SmartSense update. The powertrain is unchanged — 1.6-liter Smartstream four, 121 hp and 113 lb-ft, Intelligent Variable Transmission — but EPA re-rated the Venue at 29/33 mpg for 2022. This is also the year the Venue effectively became Hyundai's cheapest U.S. model, with the Accent sedan in its final season.
2022 Hyundai Venue SEL
The SEL jumps $950 for 2022 to $20,750 as Hyundai folds more equipment into it, including blind-spot collision warning with rear cross-traffic alert, LED headlights, proximity key with push-button start and a six-speaker audio system. It uses the same 121-hp 1.6-liter four and IVT as the rest of the range, rated 29/33 mpg. Convenience and Premium option packages add a sunroof, wireless charging and heated seats.
2022 Hyundai Venue Limited
Limited is the new name for 2022 of what had been the Denim, and unlike its predecessor it is available in the full palette of Venue colours rather than one. At $22,250 it tops the range with 17-inch alloy wheels, leatherette seating, heated front seats, a sunroof, wireless device charging and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The mechanicals are shared with every other Venue: 121 hp, IVT, 29/33 mpg.

2023 Hyundai Venue SE
2023 brings the Venue's mid-cycle facelift — a wider grille with a new mesh insert, restyled front and rear bumpers, new wheel designs and a redesigned centre stack — and the SE moves up $650 to $19,650. Mechanically nothing changes: the 1.6-liter Smartstream four still makes 121 hp and 113 lb-ft through the Intelligent Variable Transmission, rated 29/33 mpg. The 8.0-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto remains standard.

The SEL gains the same 2023 facelift and rises $650 to $21,400. The Limited tops the facelifted 2023 range at $22,900 with 17-inch alloy wheels, leatherette upholstery, heated front seats, a sunroof, wireless device charging and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. Hyundai also offered a Denim-themed two-tone appearance on this trim, reviving the look of the 2020–2021 special edition. Everything under the skin is shared with the SE and SEL.

MotorTrend measured a 2024 Venue at 8.6 seconds to 60 mph.
2024 Hyundai Venue SEL
The SEL takes the largest 2024 increase, up $500 to $21,900, and remains the volume Venue. It bundles blind-spot collision warning with rear cross-traffic alert, LED headlights with automatic high beams, roof rails, proximity key with push-button start and six-speaker audio, with a Convenience package adding a sunroof and wireless charging. Powertrain, economy and cargo volume are identical to the SE.
2024 Hyundai Venue Limited
At $23,150 the Limited is the priciest 2024 Venue and the one MotorTrend put on the test track, recording 8.6 seconds to 60 mph. Standard kit includes 17-inch alloy wheels, leatherette seating with heated front seats, a power sunroof, wireless device charging and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Like every Venue it is front-wheel drive only and carries no tow rating.

The 2025 SE holds the line on content and adds $300 to reach $20,200, still the lowest-priced new Hyundai in America. The 1.6-liter Smartstream four continues with 121 hp and 113 lb-ft through the Intelligent Variable Transmission, though the EPA highway figure slips one to 32 mpg for this model year. Standard safety equipment includes forward collision-avoidance assist, lane keeping assist and rear occupant alert.
2025 Hyundai Venue SEL

With the Limited discontinued, the SEL becomes the 2026 range-topper at $22,825 and inherits the old flagship's wireless phone charger, heated front seats and heated mirrors. It also gains new two-tone colour combinations with a contrasting roof, plus a sunroof, 17-inch wheels, roof rails, a chrome-finish grille and a leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift knob. The powertrain is unchanged from the SE.
