The Ford Fusion Energi was the plug-in-hybrid version of Ford's second-generation midsize Fusion sedan. U.S. retail sales began in 2013, and the Energi remained front-wheel drive with an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission throughout its 2013-2020 model-year run.
