North America received the facelifted second-generation EcoSport from the 2018 through 2022 model years, with U.S.-market vehicles imported from Ford's Chennai, India, plant. Across its U.S. run, it used either a 1.0L EcoBoost turbocharged three-cylinder with front-wheel drive or a naturally aspirated 2.0L four-cylinder with Intelligent 4WD, always through a six-speed SelectShift automatic.

2018 Ford EcoSport SES
The new-for-U.S. SES was the sport-themed EcoSport and came only with the 166-hp 2.0L four-cylinder, Intelligent 4WD, and six-speed automatic. A sport-tuned suspension, steering-wheel paddle shifters, copper cabin accents, and partial leather-trimmed sport seats distinguished it from the other trims. The Titanium brought the luxury-oriented specification to the EcoSport's U.S. launch year, with a standard 123-hp 1.0L EcoBoost I3 and FWD or an optional 166-hp 2.0L I4 and Intelligent 4WD.
